The LensMan, Issue #001 -- Welcome and Your Suggestions
April 10, 2005
The LensMan - Issue #001 - Inaugural Issue
April 8, 2005

First of all, thank you for subscribing to "The LensMan". I hope you'll find it useful, fun and informative. Together, in conjunction with the Great Landscape Photography website...

http://www.great-landscape-photography.com

...it will bring you news and techniques to help you improve the results you get from your landscape photography. The newsletter will be monthly, issued at the start of each month although there may be "special editions" from time to time where I'll give you news or techniques that are so hot that I won't want to wait to pass them on to you.

So what kind of things will I cover in the newsletter? Well.. there'll be news from the photo industry such as letting you know about new equipment; there'll be topics that are specifically related to landscape photography such as techniques in improving your photos; reviews of software that makes things easier for you; photoshop techniques that'll make your photos even better; maybe the odd recounting of photo trips I take so you can get an idea of how I go about taking photos.

Since this newsletter is aimed at helping you out, please let me know if there's any topic you'd like to see covered. Use the feedback form at:

http://www.great-landscape-photography.com/contact.html

to send in your idea or request. I'll use comments from any such submissions but won't use your name or email address (unless you want me to!). I have strict rules on privacy and I won't compromise on those.

Each newsletter will be archived on a special page on the website so you can always return here to see older issues at any time. Whenever a new issue is available you'll be notified by email. However, email spam filters are becoming so overly aggressive that they will sometimes filter out even those messages we actually want to receive. I know because this has happened to me!

One of the first newsletters will deal with photo software. There's a wide range of image manipulation packages out there but that's not all there is to photo software. There are other applications...

But, since I haven't written that newsletter yet, I'd better get busy!

I hope these kinds of articles will be of value to you. As I say, if you have any suggestions, do let me know.

In the meantime, keep your film dry, your digital sensors spotless and your lenses clean!

Warm Regards,

Gary Nugent
